Contribute FeedbackOverall, the River Crab received a mixed bag of reviews. Some diners were disappointed with the service, with delays in reservation times and lack of attention from staff. The food also received mixed feedback, with some dishes being described as tasty while others were considered disappointing. The outdoor seating and view of the river were highlights for many customers, as well as the attentive and friendly service from certain staff members. Although some reviews were unfavorable, others praised the food quality, service, and ambiance of the restaurant, recommending it for a dining experience worth returning to.
This is definitely a Divino restaurant Food is GREATI have been here twice and always look forward for the next opportunity to return.
We were extremely disappointed with our experienceThe location is great and saw great reviews so we were expecting a fabulous meal.
Found this place in Columbia, South Carolina which is named after us so I just had to try it.
I was so pleasantly surprised by River Crab. It was difficult to find fine dining in the area so I was skeptical. The food was completely on point (the burrata was beautiful, the steaks perfectly cooked and the shrimp cocktail was perfect). The service was amazing. Friendly, well timed and attentive without being cloying. The view was pretty and it's entertaining watching the variety of boats go by. I highly recommend it and I've eaten in some of the finest restaurants in the world. I definitely want to return.
We drove two hours for my husband's birthday brunch on Sunday. We had hoped to sit outdoors and watch the freighters go by. The outdoor patio was closed and that was sad since it was such a lovely day. This was not mentioned on their website. Our server, Tony was personable and perfect. He was the best thing about our dining experience. We won't be going back since the food was just fair and a disappointment. There were several choices but the fish was mushy, the beef and peppers were chewy, the eggs Benedict were overcooked, the bacon was too salty. The desserts were substandard. The peach cobbler was made with canned peaches, the eclairs and strudel were still frozen. My husband did like the waffles, roast beef, ham and breakfast sausages. Others had told us the food wasn't that great but we wanted to dine outdoors so we took a chance. We should have listened to our friends and family.
