Mekong River - Columbia Heights

Your food is excellent! I had the Red Curry with Shrimp for dinner and was incredibly satisfied. I'm looking forward to coming back to the lunch buffet.

Great new Thai restaurant! I work slowly through her menu and still need to be disappointed. To date, the highlights were: Thai-Jerky is a must try appetite maker Panang Green Curries are both top notch your sticky rice desserts are some of the best Thai desserts I had. If you're a fan of Thai food, you owe it to yourself to visit Mekong River!

Delicious buffet! Just had lunch there today and thoroughly enjoyed the food. They just opened four days ago but all the food was on point. You would never know they 're a brand new restaurant. It 's a simple space, but it was quiet and comfy I appreciate being able to have a conversation and hear everyone at my table. The owner checked on us a few times and it was fun to chat with him. I really enjoy Thai food, but some places can make the food too greasy or too sweet the items I tried at Mekong River seemed right on point. Everyone in my group had the buffet and it 's well worth checking out! For $10 for an all you can eat buffet, you can 't go wrong with that! I was very happy with the massaman curry and there were other options I wasn 't familiar with but also liked. When I get the buffet option at places, I enjoy being able to try some new to me food and also having a couple surefire I know I like that dishes I 'm glad they didn 't just settle for all the safe, well known things like pad thai (they did have fried rice, but also some dishes I haven 't tasted before). I want to go back and order off the menu, as you can set your desired spice level. The buffet food wasn 't as spicy as I sometimes like, so it 'll be fun to try some of the entrees. If you like tea like me, I was quite happy with their green tea it was very smooth and never got bitter. This is a good addition to the neighborhood, and I hope they do well! I will definitely be returning to try more menu items in the future.

This is the best place for quality Thai dishes in Columbus Height. It's one of my favorite restaurant. freshly rolled spring rolls and Very quality food made to order with fresh ingredients, reasonable prices, comfortable and clean atmosphere, and such friendly and personable staff.

I read the reviews and had to try it. Buffet-to-go was my choice to try a variety of dishes. About 1/2 the choices were vegetarian (and vegan, it seemed). All were wonderful! The people were nice and helpful. I'll be back!
