It was Sunday, and I and my friend were a Sunday roaster! So we entered this pub, which is just at the entrance of the castle park, I think, recently renovated, beautiful outside area, beautiful decoration inside also, really minimal, but with some beautiful finiture. (only 2 bad things that I can say it was a bit too cold in it and place saw something too empty, regarding furniture or regale or painting around, but not a big thing) as always the waiting staff was great, had this attention to the customer they rarely find in a pub. we have looked around! Sunday street was great! my friend had the bark and I had the big part. my friend almost left half of it. but the quality was very good! finally a cook that seasons all bits correctly. also the engraving was beautiful and smooth! delicious! many places served the Sunday roast very fast, here it took a little longer to 15/20 minutes, but I said to my friend, that is a good sign, it means that cook is dedicated to prepare it nice, rather that just throw it in a teller, and I was not disappointed! I actually wanted to let the cook know of my appreciation and I tipped him. definitiw recommended, and if I ever visit colchester again, I will just go there. thanks to all the staff.

So welcoming and attentive. beautiful dog-friendly pub with a warm and position atmosphere. I couldn't ask. the drinks were at a reasonable price and the food was of a good standard with generous portion sizes. highly recommended, if at all in the opposite.
