adventurous I tried the Korean noodle dish and was pleasantly surprised that it was tasty and not too spicy. my wife ordered two appetizers the fish cake and shrimp tacos. the two fish cakes were large and the soss a nice supplement. The tacos were also excellent. the table service of a local university student was friendly and efficient. we're going back! View all feedback.
What Dominique Huet doesn't like about The Grill At Burleigh Falls:
The food was pretty good. I would have gone back except I used the restroom before leaving. Wasn't filthy but also wasn't the cleanest. Worse yet, there was no soap. Wonder where the staff washes their hands ? View all feedback.
We were so looking forward to a new restaurant opening at Burleigh Falls. We were frequent diners at the previous restaurant which in our opinion, was much better. We found the new restaurants menu to be very limited which is fine but do it well. Two of our guests had steak and they both said it was just ok and chewy. The menu doesn't even tell you what type of steak it is??? I had the pesto linguine with shrimp which again, was just ok. It was very dry and lacked flavour as did the shrimp. Dry ( almost stale)slices of breakfast were served on the side but no butter or oil. My wife had the onion soup which again was just ok just topped with a slice of bread and just a bit of cheese. Wine list is extremely limited. It would be nice to see a selection of craft beers on tap. The old bar is still there so I would think this is possible. Menu is overpriced for what you get Service was good, however. The menu at the previous restaurant was far more extensive and of higher quality across the board. Trying to be helpful here. We need a good local restaurant. Expand the menu a bit, execute the dishes and improve the quality and people will flock.
We were staying at the Inn and had a coupon to The Grill. The weather cooperated and we were able to enjoy our meal outside on the patio over looking the marina. Our server was good and the food was average. Great location
We used to go frequently to the patio at burleigh falls inn for lunch, but it was closed for the last 2 years or so. Finally its open again. The patio there is very nice. We had lunch there the other day. Quality of food was great. Service was good as well. The only downer were the prices. 20$ for a simple pesto linguine is outrageous. The Quiche is also rather petite for that price.
Food was ok and the service was great. The fish was fresh and well prepared. I think that if they refine their menu and do several dishes very well it will be better. There seemed to be a restaurant or dining room that was part of the hotel Burleigh Falls Inn, but not open yet. Will do well in the nice weather when the pool is open and hopefully they offer kayaks, canoes and SUP boards for rent. That would do well on the water there for guests I think.
