San Christobal - Cochem

The place is a weird mix of Mexican, American BBQ, come German fusion cuisine, kids offering are very limited to start with so not great for families, why can 't German restaurants cater for kids properly? Anyway, the live plug hanging off the wall behind our table also added a new dimension of fun with an adventurous toddler (they might want to get that checked, the plug that is, not the toddler). Food was just that, food, it provided a certain level of calorific fulfilment, although the fact the wife 's salmon was raw on the inside it remains to be seen how many calories she has left Tomorrow. My spicy salmon certainly isn 't going to burn tomorrow if you catch my drift, definitely German spicy levels. Overall I 'd describe the food as bland, like its designed to just he eaten and forgotten the moment you walk out the door. The ambiance is okay, they obviously took over a German restaurant and put a guitar and picture of a chilli on the wall to Mexican it up a bit,but guess it goes with the overall fusion theme. I must applaud the staff, though on the fact they made absolutely no attempt to hide their utter contempt for customers (except the young lad bring drinks to the table he was spot on). I can work with that,I get it they hate the job, so why not show it? No one needs a smile or friendly service. In fact, some restaurants do that on purpose,maybe its part of the theme. They get an extra mark for accepting credits cards despite it now being 2023 although apparently a mobile card reader is still a bit too modern and if you wanna pay with plastic your gonna have to make the effort to go to them.

Decent food at a nice venue with good pricing. We enjoyed our stay here and shared nachos as a starter. We came quite early on a Friday after noon. It takes a while but the food is ok. Nice Mexican dishes well made and good portions. Service is ok. Nice outdoor seating. Good for large groups.

Yes happy to recommend!!! We did so right away when we exited. Saw a couple looking at the mmenu board of the restaurant next door directly to the left that we had eaten at two nights prior that was absolutely DREADFUL!!! We suggested San Christobal good service, ambience and food at reasonable prices. I think they will be happy. We were delighted We arrived around 7 pm. Two other tables inside Clean, unique decor and well laid out. Our server and bar staff both friendly!! Our drinks were good and our food was ammazing mmy husband had the grilled mmix: ribs, chicken wings,salad, potato wedges. Cooked well and tasted really good! Mmy husband has acute tastebuds and found it all delucious. Mmy dinner was steak perfect medium cooked with baked potato sour cream thrilled to have another option than french fries which seemms the normm at mmany establishmments here , fresh salad a good portion at that could have used less dressing. Like mmy title says, Happy to recommend We mmost certainly be back and of course we will tell EVERYBODY!!!

Portion too large. . salate fresh and tastefully super. . . . to fair trips! pity that it is our last night here. beautiful venue

We had a very tasty meal. the steak and the gourmet burrito were divine. the portions are large, they will not starve here. tasty appetizers try the spicy dip when they dare and a nice selection of bears. a visit worth
