What Thomas Boyton doesn't like about Dora's:
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! The manager waiting staff have zero people skills. The host (manager)walked us to our table without uttering one word. The server read off the specials like a speed reader and when my wife pleasantly asked him to repeat them. He exhibited a noticeable attitude. It took over an hour for our food to arrive and our party was not all served at the same time. It’s a shame this place has atmosphere, lo... View all feedback.

I was back from work and in a foul mood, and the service only exacerbated my frustration. When my food was eventually served, it was made even worse by the fact that it had a hair and a fly in it! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We walked in. Mentioned reservation. Seated immediately. Service was impeccable. Olive Oil served with bread had a little spice that added interest to the usual bland offering. Shared 2 Starters: Fried Zucchini and the Meatballs. Both delicious. Main: Chicken Parmigiana and Chicken Milanese. Both flavorful and portion size was perfect. Desserts: Italian Chocolate had that bitter-sweet flavor that brings the meal to a wonderful ending. Interesting, and a very positive point, is the bill only was delivered when we requested it. Very European. Most if not all restaurants in the United States bring the bill when you finish the dessert and I find this sends the message, “You’ve eaten, you’re finished, now Get out of here”. Here, I had the perception that, “You’ve eaten and leave whenever you wish.” We will return, without a doubt. I'll start with people skills: poor meaning not very friendly and definitely not helpful . Waiter takes your order and doesn't care about anything else. He never asked how the food was or if we needed anything. The person who fills water grabs your glass by the rim !!! , fills it with water and hands it back to you that is gross considering you don't know where her hands have been. Menu is limited, which is perfectly OK because one would think that the food would be cooked to perfection. On the contrary. Food is average: salmon was over salted, steak ordered as medium was still moo-ing on the plate, and ravioli were so extremely overcooked that it felt like you were eating mashed pasta with cheese. When we pointed out the obvious ravioli , two waiters came over and said this is how it's supposed to be. There were gnats all over the wall so you are fighting them off hoping they don't land in your food. Anyway .. we will not be returning.
