What نيفين طلال doesn't like about Le Sancere:
This cafe is in clichy just outside of Paris. For breakfast they didn't had croissants unfortunately but a baquette with confiture was good enough. The lady didn't speak English. That was a pity. Coffee was good and the jus d'orange and the citron pressé. Nice location for a small break. View all feedback.
When I was recommended by the ibis hotel near, I had low hopes as I thought it was just advertising. at the arrival we were greeted by a waitress who speaks little English, but she was really nice and we understood each other. to the luck had the menu English...Translation so that the translator was not needed. I have the traditional escargots with the garlic sauce that was accompanied by brot. many restaurants in France have these, and I have enjoyed it very much! the brot went well with the sauce from the snails. the porn that I got was duck with four seasonal sauce and garlic roasted potato. the mix of taste was delicious, but the only complain I got is that there was too much fat on the duck and it was not boiled too well. the freshly pressed orange juice was beautiful and naturally fresh! but the highlight: dessert. I have the cream broulè that was made perfect! overall, although I hurt the wallet a little, I would recommend this place for a delicious traditional dinner in a relaxed ambiente.
So Firstly Thanks trip advisor, like most I guess when I see a review status with so few actual reviews you do question the integrity. So o Walked the short distance from the hotel and was surprised by the bright neon outside a strange mash...up of French restaurant meets disco. So open the door and it is just a little traditional French bistro. Looks very simple. Greeted by the host's on entry and shown to a table in the back. The blackboard chalkboard (depending on your age and country of origin) is wheeled around and you make your selection. So this gives a clear impression that the menu is subject to change? So selection made some wine some bread a relaxed atmosphere with 5 other occupied tables. So the place nice. The ambience good. The staff friendly and polite. The food, was it the best? No but that was thee times the price. I would go back again when in the area as Value for money and quality was good and as I said price was excellent. Someone's you get what you pay for and sometimes you pay too much. So to top the evening off sitting in the bar on return to the hotel and three of the tables walked in. We all agreed it was a good night good food great prices especially in Paris. Enjoy
Wheelchair accessible yes would be on the way to the subway in the morning. had the most wonderful grand macchiato that I still taste eight weeks later.
Little did I know how my lack of French would complicate things here. Our dear waitress knew no English the English translations on the menu offered no better description. Using Google Translate we managed to figure out a few keys words were finally...able to make a semi-educated decision regarding our meal. I ordered beef with shallot sauce served with green beans dressed lettuce. As simple as it sounded it was one of the best meals I ate in Paris. I was glad that we persevered weren't scared off by the English interpretations of the menu. The service here was not great however I choose to give our waitress the benefit of the doubt, it can be very intimidating when faced with people with whom you cannot communicate. I look forward to visiting Le Sancere again, hopefully with a better grasp of French.
