The High Hat Diner - Clearfield

I'm going here at least once the week. small business with a owner who seems passionate about his eating. the verde is great! but be warned, it is not a traditional verde that most places sell, so there is really nothing like comparing, against that is a good thing! my wife always gets the pancakes that really had some of the best pancakes she or I had! Moreover, I feel good to support a small business that actually has passion for its customers and products.

The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere! The chef/owner personally welcomed us, explained the menu, and made us feel at home. The food was delicious, and they also offer Mexican cuisine. Highly recommend!

Despite its unassuming exterior, the restaurant is impeccably clean inside and boasts charming '50s diner decor. Ron takes great pride in his Chile Verde, and it is clear why. With a diverse menu offering plenty of options, be sure to include some of the chile in your order - you won't be disappointed.

The Chile verde at this restaurant is absolutely delicious. Ron, the boss/owner, makes you feel like you are part of his family when you come in to eat his home cooked food. I am grateful that the place may look like a dive from the outside, but the restaurant is actually very clean inside and well decorated with a 50s diner vibe. Ron takes pride in his Chile verde and rightfully so. The menu is extensive with many options, but any choice should definitely include the Chile verde.

This restaurant is fantastic! Everything is perfect! The owner is so friendly! The decor is beautiful! I have a soft spot for vintage items!
