this is a great small restaurant in a city with very few restaurants over their standard chains. the personal is friendly and not in any case suffy. the wine card is the only in the city that actually looks like a real restaurant weinliste and not a food shelf. the drinks are good (and not too expensive.) What Rebecca Taylor doesn't like about Skylines Cafe:
Food is nothing special. Under seasoned, overpriced, dried out chicken straight out of a microwave. One waitress to serve the entire restaurant. Very disappointing. View all feedback.
My family and I went out for brunch here yesterday around 1pm. None of us had been there before. The place was pretty clean, and well put together. So we were shocked that the food was extremely mediocre. The worst part about the experience was that a decent amount of our order was served to us at less than food-safe temperature. I personally ordered a waffle and a bowl of chicken tortilla soup. The waffle was nowhere near warm, which was unpleasant, but not necessarily a safety hazard. The soup was completely lukewarm. I kindly asked the server to heat the soup back up. She took it back and returned with it a little warmer a bit later. The portion sizes were pretty small. My brother and I both ordered a waffle and we both received only 3 out of the 4 waffle parts. I'm not sure if they just figure most people don't eat the 4th quarter, or what. But it just came across as cheap to me. Overall, I won't be eating here again. It wasn't the biggest pocket buster. My bill for my fiance and I was around $27, including tip. But I'd honestly rather just go get Chipotle. At least I know my food will be served to me at the correct temperature.
I was really disappointed. Last evening we were having a dinner to celebrate a graduation and things did not go well. I personally ordered a steak, mashed potato’s, and risotto. The sides were ice cold. Others at the table said theirs were very cold as well. Prior to everyone getting there I asked the server if they could do a special dessert for the graduates. She said yes, and they would put candles in what ever they want ordered. (This is for a kindergartener and a 1st grader). So at the end of the meal, I ask her again if she could do that and she says yes. Then she brings out the most flat looking and stale “chocolate chess pie” with no candles or anything. I was so discouraged when she handed it to the kids that I couldn’t even get the words out.Lastly, starting at around 8:15 it was clear that they were trying to close. They took the candle center pieces off the table around that time so they could get out of there. Very disappointed in a fairly expensive meal.
Awesome hidden restaurant. Absolutely. Love their specials and have a wide variety of things available on the menu

Great place to relax with a great meal. Service is friendly and fast, the menu has something for everyone and the prices are reasonable.
