William's Bakery - Clarksville

My family loves donuts and cookies and my father loves coffee and I love chocolate milk and cookies.

William's has been a staple bakery donut joint on this side of river for a very long time. They have everything from breads to cakes to cookies to donuts. I popped in on a Sunday morning around 9:00am to get some sweet treats. Their thumb print cookies are to die for. I wanted to try some of their donut holes however the staff member told me they were sold out for the day. He told me they typically sell out of donut holes between 7am 8am on the weekends. He was very nice and helped me select a couple of other donuts to try. I got a glazed donut (big yum) and a cake glazed donut (also yum). I preferred the glazed donut over the cake donut. I will definitely set my alarm and head over one weekend to see about snagging some donut holes!

What an amazing local producer of wonderful baked goodies… These guys are the best of the best. They have been supplying Clark in Floyd County with the most delicious and wonderful baked goods for I think like over five decades. New line these guys rock.

This was my first time in many years coming here. I saw their story on the Local News recently about how road construction is hurting their business and decided to buy some things to help out. First of all, it is not that bad getting there around the construction. Take the side streets and it comes out right in front of the bakery. Once I get inside I start looking at the prices and they were pretty steep. There were two women working and neither were wearing gloves, hair nets, aprons, etc. They were wearing everyday clothes which was a turn off, no safety around food whatsoever. They were pretty rude as well waiting on me then talking to one another then saying what was that again ? I ordered a few Donuts and Cookies. The one lady took a few items off a tray they was sitting on the display case counter which people were breathing and talking over which again is not sanitary at all. She puts the items in a box and says $20 . This was kinda fishy because I got a few different priced items and she says that without adding it on a register, calculator, sheet of paper, NOTHING. I guess she is a math genius. I honestly have no clue how this place stays in business and where all these 5 star reviews come from. I 've been to lots of other bakeries around that are much cheaper and taste better than this place. I 'll never be back.

This is the absolute best bakery in town! Best donuts, cakes, pies and cookies! I grew up with this bakery and it’s the only one I recommend!
