Really solid little panini spot in the west village. came here with a friend for a coffee and chicken sandwich. i have a sneaking suspicion that it's a bit of a local haunt since everyone there seemed to know everyone else, which is charming. excellent lunch spot for the single day a week i have to trudge up to SoHo for work, ha. What Samuel Matskovich doesn't like about Cafe Panino Mucho Gusto:
I ordered from this restaurant for the first time, thinking I had discovered a hidden gem. However, I quickly realized that it was overpriced and lacking in quality. My last three orders of a breakfast croissant and a panini came with disappointingly little meat and fresh ingredients. I found it quite unacceptable. One of the best little cafes in the area! Great food, the nicest staff and the coziest atmosphere!

It's a very small place but cozy. Not a long wait, really helpful staff, and the food was delicious,
This place was so cute and a perfect place to get some work done on a chilly weekday afternoon. My panini was perfectly toasted and filled with nice roasted vegetables. The chai latte, on the other hand, was fine but not noteworthy. Prices were also just okay, but probably on par with what 's to be expected in West Village. What really sold me was the ambiance and service though. The guys at the counter and the owner were all incredibly warm and friendly to everyone who came in there were clearly regulars people who they knew by name, of all ages, which was so heartwarming to see). The playlist was cozy and jazzy and just set the perfect fall mood. The quintessential neighborhood cafe around the corner .
