Okenshields - City of Ithaca

I really liked this soup, I hope to see them regularly!

The most convenient place to eat on campus. Only food that accepts meals in the middle. Friendly staff, great music. Food is consistent if not great. The sum on Friday is very good! Special events are also beautiful (e.g. Valentin's fondue station). Not very accessible for wheelchair users.

Although it's a meme, I have to admit that it's not as bad as everyone says. As the only meal, dining room floats on the Central Campus, it is a bit crowded around the noon. The food is good, definitely better than most other dining rooms in the USA. Compared to the West Campus dining halls in Cornell, it falls short, but due to its location it is an ideal place to go to eat.

Okenahields is one of the smaller dining rooms in Cornell, but it is always consistent. You know what to expect. Her salad bar is really good and I really like her Asian fusion station. The location is also fantastic because it is directly on the central campus. In fact, it is one of the only gay dining halls on the central campus. I'll go there for lunch 3-4 times a week and sometimes dinner. Some people don't like it because it's repetitive, but I enjoy it!

Okenshields is the only all-you-care-to-eat dining hall on Central campus where students can use a meal swipe. Expect long wait times and difficulty finding a seat during peak hours. Decor reflects that you are in a historic building, but things can get messy with so many students in and out.
