I ordered takeout from here for the first time today. It exceeded my expectations. I got the fried chicken, Mac n cheese, and collard greens. I was not prepared to fall in love with the fried chicken but it was perfectly seasoned and perfectly crispy, even after I drove 20 minutes home. The collard greens were so good and flavorful. I will be a repeat customer. 10/10

The food selected (seasonings and proportions) was excellent. Well worth the trip and price. Wow. Forget traveling to Albany and Troy, NY for authentic and superior southern cooking. It's finally here right here in Cohoes, NY on White St.Vegetarian options: Vegetables and side options

Ordered for the first time today and it did not disappoint. The portions are huge and the food is so flavorful. They forgot the banana pudding and when I called the guy came to deliver it for me and even threw in a extra one which was excellent and very generous. Thank you!

Food came to about $120 I have the sweet heat wings and macaroni and cheese, collards and yams overall experience I personally did not care for the food. Also, I ordered the banana pudding which was great but macaroni and cheese with white cheese couldn't figure out which cheese was used but it's definitely wasn't up to my standard yams entirely sweet which I believe in yams being sweets but extremely sweets. The sweet heat wings very very salty. I personally being that this was my first time experience most likely will not be back, but I absolutely loved the customer service experience and that also means a lot when it comes to dealing with people's food.Parking: Very tight parking

This is my new “go to” place for soul food. The sweet heat wings were great. Seasoned to perfection. The cabbage was “out of sight”. The next time I don’t feel like cooking I will definitely go to Soul in a Bowl. Oh and the lemon cake was outstanding.
