Even if you 're not vegetarian this is a fabulous place to dine. We had Crispy Tofu and San Choy Bow to start and Cauliflower Shawarma and Coal Roasted Squash plus Smashed Cucumber salad for mains. Superb! Portions are a good size so we ended up taking the salad away in a 'doggy bag '. View all feedback.
What Carolyn Zaragoza doesn't like about Monster Kitchen and Bar:
The anticipation of being at this usually fabulous vegetarian restaurant was followed by a little disappointment on this occasion. Perhaps there is a new chef? The eggplant was unrecognisable as eggplant and over smoked. The nasi goreng was extremely salty. Luckily we had also ordered fries which were excellent. Service was pleasant but lacked attention to detail. The mineral water was warm and the glass of champagne... View all feedback.
I love this room so much! they went plants with seat in 2020 and had many great vegan options, but since the menu changed there are fewer vegan options available that is strange. ideal for a drink and snack or for a special occasion.
I have booked an evening meal for a special occasion and we have excellent seats on the window that look into the garden, and right at the fire. we ordered the seven-course tasting 80) and chose a local white after consulting with vegan weeping. the ambiente was beautiful and the personal was friendly, patient, helpful and accommodating. as far as employment is concerned, this was a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, the food left a lot to wish. sometimes they think with disarm that they laugh about people who spend so much money on tasty eating, and in this case I felt a bit like I in the Emperor’s new clothes. the first few courses were in the usually small but fine. then came the kohlrabi with pea and thymian sauce, which was really bitter and imperishable, and the following courses had really little taste, including the main (as small as the previous dishes) of the cauliflower steak and the old grains. the dessert of the sorbet on the meringue with cacao was beautiful, but not enough to make for the moderate dishes that came before him.
This is vegetarian haute cuisine. unfortunately not many vegan options. eating is fantastic with amazing flavor combinations. highly recommended. the prices correspond.
This restaurant has been vegetarian for 1 year. they can most (but disappointing not all) meal vegan. the feed me menu was much fun. I recommend to go and support this initiative, even if it is not fully vegan, it is the first time that I have heard of a restaurant that does that! the setting is more for a chic dinner style so good for a special occasion.
Although menu was interesting and eating was delicious, serving for a common plate was very inadequate for the money they charged. $27 for a glass champagne is ridiculously expensive.
