Was User at The Wheatsheaf Inn a mag?
We had an hour to grab some drinks. We received the warmest welcome I have ever experienced, with the owner and his daughter really making us feel at home. The beer was excellent and the pub is located in a fascinating historical building. I can't wait to come back and have a meal here again. Anyone visiting the city should definitely stop by and check it out. View all feedback.
What nerja18 dislikes about The Wheatsheaf Inn:
The cheesecake with ice cream and berry selection was a very small portion with only 2 grapes on top, dusted in icing sugar. When they say "berries," I would expect a selection of blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. View all feedback.

This pub is fantastic! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the homemade Scotch eggs with Piccalili are absolutely delicious.

Lovely old pub and staff friendly we had lunch on Valentine’s Day it was awful the carbonara was just like plain spaghetti dry no meat no taste steak was no better raw mushrooms and tomato’s burnt chips very disappointed won’t be going back
We decided to treat ourselves to a Sunday roast at The Wheatsheaf, having heard good things about the food there. It was such a great choice, as our food was fabulous. We had booked our table, which was a good decision as it was getting quite busy. It was ready for us, with our name on it, with nicely set out glasses and cutlery. We had our dog with us and he was given biscuits and water. It was no problem having him in the eating area. Although if you have a lively dog, I'd possibly not bring them, as it's not a massive space. We opted for the roast beef. It was perfectly cooked a real surprise as a lot of places overcook the meat. This was pink and served with red wine gravy and all the trimmings. The veggies were lovely. We had crisp roast potatoes, parsnips carrots, tenderstem broccoli and cauliflower cheese. The plate was not overloaded, which was appealing. Also it wasn't dominated by any over sweetened red cabbage, which seems to be a thing at the moment! The home made mint sauce was fresh and vibrant. The service was fabulous thank you Cheryl. We were really well looked after and made to feel very welcome. I'd really recommend The Wheatsheaf Sunday Roast based on our experience.
Really welcoming cosy pub in the heart of Midhurst. We were a table of 9 who were fed at 8.45pm on a Tuesday, when many other pubs would have stopped serving food. Good selection local ales and the food was incredibly tasty. The staff were very helpful and cheerful.

This restaurant offers fantastic food, exceptional service, and a great selection of beer. The staff is beautiful and very friendly.
Both of us ordered the smoked ribs, which were so generous in size that we could have easily shared. The food and service were excellent.
Had a meal with my enkelin today eating was amazingly very friendly staff and helpful in any case will go back
We popped in for a pint out of the blue. We were greeted by friendly staff and a good selection of drinks. I was particularly pleased to see good covid cleaning protocols between customers.

The restaurant currently does not have any food available because the chef is missing, but the service and atmosphere were excellent. They also offer a nice selection of drinks. The price per person ranges from £10 to £20. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The pub oozes character, oak beams, stone floors, log fire and a chapel which is used as a function room. Pub grub and a good range of beers. There is a separate dining area or you can eat in the bar area if you wish.
I only stopped by for a drink so I can't speak to the food, but the beer was excellent. The staff were friendly and quick, the bar area was quite cozy, and the prices were very reasonable. Overall, I'd give the service and atmosphere a 5 out of 5.
It appears to be a popular spot with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff who are very attentive. The restaurant closes at 3pm on Saturdays. The food we tried was decent, but I don't think I would dine there again. However, I would definitely return for another drink. Thank you!
Lovely friendly staff nice meal and a pint of Guinness wel worh the visit
