While the food is generally seen as flavorful, some have found the menu to be limited and a bit pricey. Inconsistent service, particularly in terms of timing and attentiveness, has been mentioned. The ambiance and decor have received positive feedback, with many describing it as perfect for a night out. Despite some hits and misses with the food, White Oak seems to be a hidden gem worth checking out, especially for those seeking a unique dining experience in the neighborhood.

The music was a bit loud for brunch/lunch time, but the food is consistently delicious! We were seated by the door on a 2 degree day, but the staff kindly moved us when we requested, which we truly appreciated.
This is a great restaurant two blocks from my house. I always have a great experience.
Food was good and good value for what we ordered. Service needs to get better and be more attentive.
Had a reservation and were given a table essentially right at the front door of the restaurant so it was cold the entire time as it was a busier evening and people were coming and out constantly. Also with the table location we were by the bar and the waiting area where it just felt like people were standing over us the entire time. We sat down and were given one menu and were told there was some sort of menu shortage that caused us to share and pass around. We ordered something to start and made that clear and then between the time that item arrived and our entree's came we waited 45 minutes to an hour. I want to be clear that our server was great she was doing everything she could and was apologetic and seemed to take ownership of the delay for our food but I don't think it was her fault. People had literally come after we were seated, ate and paid by the time we got our entrees. The rest of the staff just didn't seem that friendly or committed to an operation that runs smoothly.
