Very friendly staff, especially our server, Elmer. He was on top of everything although having a huge party of 12 to serve as well as others. The mushroom truffle pizza was the best pizza I have eaten in Chicago.
Opted for the chef's tasting without the wine, each dish was better than the last. My top two were the meatball and the gnocchi, and the dessert was also pretty tasty. There was a little bit of a wait at the beginning before we were met by our server, but it was busy, so we understood. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and hope you will too.
Experience menu was well curated. They really did good with it.
Lobster Roll was a poor value, mostly roll, perhaps 2 ounces of lobster meat for $28.00. Thin vinaigrette binder on filling, I prefer mayo. Service was very good. Staff was friendly and available. location was great. The burgers being delivered to other tables looked good.
I think my partner would be jealous if he knew how much I've thought about the risotto at Siena Tavern since our visit. We also enjoyed the signature brick-seared grilled chicken dish, a seasonal tomato salad, and the grilled octopus, which was absolutley divine. Everything we had was exquisite, and the ambiance of the restaurant was pitch-perfect. As a pair of Top Chef junkies and devout foodies, we will be back for the tasting menu when we return to Chicago.
