Frontera Grill - Chicago

We sung by city guests who had a special interest in this restaurant. Incapable of getting a reservation, we took our chances and for Brunch at 3 p.m. We said there was a waiting period of an hour, but could look for seats in the bar. The room was full and I asked for the table for four outside, that was empty and they told us we could take it! Strange that the hostess did not follow these tables, but we enjoyed the place although it was a very hot day. The special strawberry/habanero guacamole was delicious, but the queso fundido was strange tasteless. The black beans were very good, the orangy not so much. I had Keviche who was plentiful enough for a main course. The bastards were very good.

Honestly, you can't get better than this — it's a Rick Bayless Mexican restaurant! Last December, I celebrated my birthday at Frontera, and our large group enjoyed every single dish we ordered. The Margaritas were a hit as well! I visited again this past week for my anniversary, and once again, they exceeded my expectations. If you're in Chicago, this restaurant is a must-add to your list!

This is one of the top restaurants in the city. I absolutely enjoy dining here, although I wish I could come more often. The food is genuinely delicious and authentic. The menu is consistently fresh and filled with local ingredients. Whether it's brunch, lunch, or dinner, you can't go wrong with your choices here. If you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine and fantastic drinks, I highly recommend this spot. There's always something fresh, and new items are introduced regularly. Rick Bayless is truly one of the finest chefs.
