Me and my partners favorite place to grab some grilled cheese!! I tried the Tenderizer today for the first time and it was SOO good. Place is pricey, but for the amount of food you get, it is worth it!! View all feedback.
What C J Treble doesn't like about Cheesie's Pub Grub- Wicker Park:
I came here to order one of their famous grilled cheese sandwiches and it was a pop up shop not a grill and pub! So I had to order online only or thru a QR code outside the restaurant! and the wait time was 50 mins. Needless to say I was very disappointed at this location. It was a wasted trip. 90s theme was nice to take a quick video and cute drinks it's just about taking
Manager please contact me about your bar losing my ID (driver’s license) and debit card. I stopped by the bar and was told that the card case where your bartenders put people’s cards is missing. My contact information was taken by the chef and I was told that a manager (Bill, I believe) would contact me about this issue. I’ve also tried calling many times, but no one answers the phone and the mailbox is full. I took my daughter here for her birthday this past Sunday, 27 August, for the 90’s style video store pop-up. Our experience included a free drink, but when we got our drinks the bartender requested that I give her an ID and debit/credit card for a tab in case we decide to purchase additional drinks. I do not frequent bars at all and only came for the pop-up, but I know tabs are common, so I gave her my cards. She put them in what looked like a wallet near the register. I did not purchase or consume any other drinks and completely forgot that the bar had my cards when we left. Once I got home and realized it, I tried calling, but no answer. Since I live over an hour away and didn’t want to drive without a license, I waited for someone to bring me back Monday, but learned that you are closed Monday Tuesday. I returned yesterday, Wednesday around 11:30am and talked to the chef. He looked for my cards and said that they weren’t in the card case that was in the safe where customer cards are normally stored when left behind. He said there was another card case, where my cards must be, but that this case was missing and not in the safe where it should be. He said that this was odd and that he would report the issue to the manager when he gets to work later in the evening. He took my contact info and said to expect a call from the manager around 6:30pm. I did not receive a call and all of my calls continue to go unanswered. I take responsibility for forgetting the cards, but there is no reason why they shouldn’t still be at the bar. My nephew works at a bar up the street and says that it’s common for people to leave their cards, but not common for the cards to come up missing. He’s going to stop by the bar today to follow-up with someone. If my cards are not found, particularly my driver’s license, I will be left with no choice but to file a police report for theft. Thanks
Dope place, I think yall made a mistake closing this location.. yall didn't even advertise yall was close I had to learn by diving here . Belmont location is a bit
My go-to “gross” food (in the best way possible). I’m not a huge gross food person but the first time I had the Mac and Cheese Grilled Cheese here, I walked back to get another one immediately after. Fair warning, it’s a heart attack in a sandwich but sometimes absolutely necessary. Bread is amazing, cheese is amazing, I will never look anywhere else for “gross” food again.
