Babylon - Chiang Mai

This is my favorite bar in Chiang Mai, without a doubt! The barkeeper is incredibly friendly and funny, and the music is great. They play chill dub music inside the bar, and you can hear deep house and techno from the street. It's definitely the best music in this area. Highly recommended!

The best D.J.s in thailand and in whole se asia (and even occasionally europa regularly drive through this zoe corner dance club. everyone dances, especially when it comes later, as there are valuable small sitting places that are good if you want to get rid of the groove consciously. the drinks are also solid. sure when dancing is on their agenda.

I had high expectations of this place given some of the reviews. I arrived to an empty bar, immediately I was gestured by the owner and employees to sit down and look at the menu. I was given no time to figure out what I wanted to drink or even if I wanted to stay. Feeling pressured and also bad that they had no customers meanwhile the place next door was busy I chose to stay for one drink. The music was all over the place, from dubstep to whatever dance music styles someone’s phone chose to play, and then finally some deep house. I was expecting a live DJ and good music but it was pretty disappointing. Maybe it was just my bad luck that night, or I was there too early (9pm). Cool graffiti art though, just wish it wasn’t 90s neon regular old graffiti paint would do. Due to all of the many bars in the area being on top of each other and blaring their music super loud you can expect to hear multiple styles of music all at once.

There are numerous bars in this small area, making it difficult to relax and listen to a specific genre of music. Constantly bothered by vendors selling various items. The drinks are made quickly but lack in taste. If you're seeking a chaotic atmosphere and getting heavily intoxicated, then this area is ideal for you.
