I was five times in this restaurant and all the visits were wonderful! The mussels awarded Thai Curry. The godfather is a treat. Service is top notch for the area. Owners try to get out of the way for special requests, which is hard to find nowadays. I recommend the pot roast and the Calamari app. They are large on gluten-free and have great pizzas. The restaurant with the huge chicken in the parking lot is the Silver Star. My family came from the United States to visit my grandparents in Pottersville. We had our great group meal here in the room looking at the pond outside. It feels very like the Adirondacks here with the A frame wooden building with a beautiful view outside the large windows. Definitely a great place for a group. Bridget and Aaron knew we were coming and because my sister and I are vegetarians, they made us a special vegan meal. I'm not sure you're calling if they'd always behave or if that's just for friends and family, but it was great. The rest of my family is eating meat Americans, so they had their choice of menu. My mother got a plate of fried mussels and everyone at the table loved it and gobbled it so fast that my mother had to order something else for her dinner. We also have a fruit and cheese plate as an appetizer and it was delicious. My favorite food was the warm bread with butter. Not much is better than good bread. The view outside the windows is breathtaking especially at sunset. The restaurant is large enough for large groups and can also be intimate for couples. I recommend here for date nights, good food, beautiful views, or family dinner. It is much higher than most other restaurants in the area (such as the delis, bars and general shops), but it is still casual enough to wear your normal clothes.
This is a wonderful, cozy place with attentive and friendly staff. The food was delicious and tastefully prepared. It came nice and hot, with excellent presentation. I ordered a court that was not even in the menu, thanks to a proposal from our server. We were very impressed by this restaurant and will definitely be back!
Order food..had the Thai Chili wings and really delicious pizza with fresh basil on. Service is better than expected at most small town squares. attentive and friendly staff. A few times have been here, always alike good everywhere!!
I give them 4 stars because the food was good but even more than that, being out of town-ers, we didn't know that reservations were preferred. On a busy Friday night, they found room for us and we were able to eat dinner. Menu is a bit pricey so we stuck with a basic cheeseburger and fries. I had a IPA beer and my wife had iced tea with our meals. The burgers were very good and the fries were homemade--crispy on the outside with the skins on. The bill came to under $30 which was more than reasonable. Bar selection is limited to just wine and beer but that was ok. We go to Chestertown every year for the Warrensburg garage sales and probably will return next year for a meal.
