Hidden gem of Chennai ! The staff is courteous and sweet and were also good with their suggestions! The four cheese pizza was the best pizza I’ve ever had. The carbonara pasta was rich, creamy with delicious! These two dishes are highly recommended! Cheers View all feedback.
A great place for good quality authentic thin crusty pizza. ambience left behind. good rod. had good vegetarian options. ordered the four cheese balls, brinjal caponata cheese, bruschetta platter and picante signature pizza. cheese balls and brinjal caponata were great. bruschetta platter was good compared to others. the pizza was excellent, thin crust with exactly the right amount of herb, wonderful cheese and delicious topping. the calcareous coolers were refreshing. a must visit for all chennai Italian cuisine lovers.
When you enter the gates of the Green Park Hotel, it feels like you have left the sound associated with the hectic of the always busy Vadapalani. While you are at the Portico of the hotel, you do not have to pass the metal detector, but take a hard left and go down a staircase and you will reach the Piccante restaurant. When you enter the door, you will be pleasantly greeted in Japanese and Italian. You don't have to be surprised because you have to pass the Kuuraku a Japanese restaurant to the portals of Piccante. You need to remember that we are here to taste and dispense with the Italian food to go to Kuuraku. we will try on another occasion). You have to pass between a long counter and a wall filled with graffiti and you can not only notice that the red gas fired pizza oven and even catch the cook swirling the dough in the air. Again you are greeted in Italian and you can choose to be at the main dining area, in whose center there is a TV screen. Thus, IPL fans need not be far from the action while they feed on their favorite patas. There is also a half private case where you can sit on soft sofas. We chose the latter. We were presented a huge beverage menu and the menu and my hand reached the drinks menu instinctively. I was quite excited about the huge selection of champagne, wine, imported and Indian liqueurs, cocktails, mosque tails, beer and surprise the beer cocktail. I chose the Tequila Sunrise, consisting of tequila, orange juice and grenadine. It was quite potent, which shows that they don't jump on the alcohol. We started with antipasto smoked salmon salad. the thin slices of smoked salmon on a bed of salad with cut olives and cherry tomatoes. The salmon was quite buttery in the mouth, a bit salty and the crunch was provided by the iceberg salad and the fishy smell was missing. I enjoyed every bite. Followed by Broccoli and Prawn Ajillo, the shrimp and brocolli were cooked in olive oil with cool flakes, cut mushroom and garlic. At dinner with garlic bread it tasted extremely good and I even drank bread in a tasteful oil and ate every last bite. The next on the list was the Fried Prawn with Mayo this was 4 huge tiger shrimps, crushed and with Japanese Mayo and served on a bed salad. The shrimps were juicy and cooked to perfection and every bite was heavenly. For the main course we had Piccante Signature Pizza, which had Prawn, Squid,Caponata, Jalepeno, Tomato sauce and Mozzarella cheese. We tried their signature Pasta Piccante Crab Arrabiata and Fatuccine with Prawn Basil Cream. All the main courses were on point, attractively plated and tasted better. We enjoyed every bite and the portion sizes were quite huge. We ended up with the Vanilla Pannacotta who had a berry syrup upstairs. The pannacotta was smooth and silky, but I personally felt that the syrup was somewhat too sweet and distracted from the taste of dessert. When you leave, you will be sent by the waiters in their choir of Japanese and Italian farewells. I recommend visiting Piccante with a Japanese touch.
It was an unforgettable visit. The place so cozy and the oven pizza is so good. Dominos, Pizzahütte is not a game. I only share my experience and feelings. Then trust me. The crab arabiata, Buffalo wings. Mmmm. tiramisu omg.... I'll go back as there are so many dishes to try... It's not about anyone, but I'll go there soon. Thank you. Pikedge!!!
Good food. My general mode has food and watch a movie... Right next to the Vijaya Mall.
Absolutely killer pizzas. Such a quaint setting imported ingredients and a chef that accommodates your requests! Damn I can’t believe this place isn’t as popular as it should be! Such a gem.
