We went for lunch as a family. Friendly experience and atmosphere. The menu is unusual in that it offers 2 sizes for each dish. We found the smaller size to be very large! Good selection of local meat and seafoods. View all feedback.
What J6223WUjosee doesn't like about A Talha:
Ordered a steak which was roar, then gave us attitude. The lamb we we ordered was dry. Only good thing was the wine to which they have no control. Will not be visiting in the neat future. View all feedback.
Sugerida por um amigo, fomos e estávamos super satisfeitos. excelente comida, simpática, prestativa e atenciosa equipe. Recomendamos a todos.
Coming back from Spain, decided to stop in chaves for two dinners. a well-known Portuguese magazine had a favorable review of this restaurant. my assessment is also completely consistent. for cuvert, brot and olive, main dishes: roasted otopus with «garbanzos» (a kind of Spanish pebbles) risotto (in Portuguese: filetes de polvo com arroz de garbanzos,) and baked cadry with baked carrots (in Portuguese: bacalhau assado). both main dishes in half proportion more than sufficient for an adult. for dessert we had a «rabanada com gelado» (a Portuguese dessert of a roasted brotes immersed in milk and sugar with an iceball) perfect to finish a delicious meal. oh, and to drink we had a bottle locally made red wine «Arcossó» recommended by the manager (daughter of the greenders rof the restaurant. both main dishes made very good, definitiw a very good surprise in the city chaves!
When we complain, they try to put blame on you and make you out to nieve. We know what we like and how we what out food. Their quality is going down hill.

Comimg back from Spain, decided to stop in Chaves for dinner for two. A well known Portuguese magazine had a favourable review of this restaurant. My review totally agree as well. For couvert, bread and olives, main dishes: fried octopus with «garbanzos» (a kind of spanish chickpeas) risotto (in Portuguese: filetes de Polvo com arroz de garbanzos), and baked cod fish with baked potatos (in Portuguese: bacalhau assado com batatas sem violência). Both main dishes each in half-portion more than adequate for an adult. For dessert, we had a «rabanada com gelado» (a Portuguese dessert of a fried slice of bread soaked in milk and sugar with a ball of ice cream) perfect to finish a delightful meal. Oh, and to drink we had a bottle of locally made red wine «Arcossó» recommended by the manager (daughter of the founde rof the restaurant. Total bill for two: 43,90 euros ! Both main dishes very well made, definitely a very good surprise in the city of Chaves !
