This is our go-to spot for breakfast and coffee whenever we're in Chattanooga. They have a lovely selection of baked goods and bagels, with creative and well-prepared breakfast options. The coffee is great, and they offer imaginative lemonades, including my favorite, black lemonade. You can sit in the garden or inside the cozy interior. View all feedback.

We mainly stopped in here for coffee and breakfast, both which fell far short. We each got a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. All which tasted prepackaged and gross. The bacon was rubbery, and tasted as if it had been cooked in a microwave. The eggs wereobviously dehydrated pre-packaged eggs. And the biscuit was a frozen reheated glob of crumbles. Unimpressed with the service and food. I placed a to go order and the girl who took my order said it would take 15-20 minutes. I come in around 15 minutes after I place the order and I pay for the food and she says it?ll be another 10 minutes. I end upsitting at a table waiting for them to be done. I end up checking in again and a girl said she would check for me and she tellsme it?ll be another 10 minute. At this point I have waited 40 minutes for an everything bagel with some eggs and a side ofpotatoes, and a breakfast combo that included a biscuit, eggs, grits, and a sausage. I check in one more time and the girl seemsannoyed that I am asking once again, and I AM ANNOYED at this point. It was steady in the store at this time, but people whohave come in after me and placed their coffee and food order while I sat there waiting for my to-go food had gotten all theirfood and eaten it in the span of me sitting there. Not once did they check in or tell me ?hey we forgot your order, we?reworking on it.? Or ?hey it?s really slammed and the kitchen is backed up.? I would have understood instead of asking so manytimes. At the 50 minute mark I went up and asked if I could go ahead and get a refund, and the girl that had ignored me and toldme to wait ?another ten minutes? sees me asking for a refund and basically throws the bag on the counter. I grabbed it and left, just to see they didn?t add the jam nor any ketchup. Potatoes were Luke warm and not very good. Bagel was alright; it?s hard tomess up a bagel. The biscuit was dry. Eggs looked nasty. Would not recommend. Included pictures to show what 50 minutes ofwaiting for food looked like.

We ended up throwing them away at our first stop.
Stopped by on Sunday, 6/18/23. Free street parking or paid gravel lot parking. We ordered at the counter and they brought the food and drinks to our table. The food took a while to come out, but they were busy! They had a changing table in the bathroom, which was helpful! The bathrooms were kind of gross, but they were stocked with soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. Here’s what we got: Cold Brew $3.50): I asked for Iced Coffee, but they gave us Cold Brew instead. It was too strong for me. Blueberry Scone $2.50): Good! The Denny $7.50): My husband gave this 3 stars. He said it was average and wouldn’t get it again. Breakfast Biscuit $5.50): The actual biscuit was amazing. Super big and fluffy. I wish they did chicken in the biscuit, but I got the veggie sausage instead. It was okay. Nice place to stop on the way to/from Atlanta/Nashville, or if you’re staying in Chattanooga.
This is a super cute coffee shop! I loved the modern urban decor and my sausage, egg and cheese bacon biscuit was delicious! The cheesy grits were also super good! Very well seasoned and extra creamy. Definitely get the strawberry jam! It tastes so fresh, like they make it in house!
Great experience at mean mug today! The staff was really friendly, the food and drinks were amazing, and the space was super cozy. We got the avocado toast with smoked salmon and a Morningstar sausage biscuit sandwich for food. Both were top notch. The London fog and matcha were also incredible. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a coffee shop around Chattanooga!
