This restaurant in the Brainerd area is one of my favorites. The food is delicious and the service is always excellent.
There is a wide variety of delicious and filling options at this restaurant, including different proteins, vegetables, seasonings, and sauces. The meal is definitely worth the price.
I visited a Mongolian grill for the first time and it was amazing! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and I highly recommend taking home a doggy bag with you.
The food was amazing!!! Just wish the sauce was thicker through the cooking process. Service was absolutely top notch. First time eating there and the waitress explained how *everything* worked. Could not be more impressed! Even waiters from other areas were checking in!
The food was delicious. The service was pretty good. Figuring out what I was supposed to do was a little confusing, but everyone was kind about my ignorance. You wait to be seated, have your drink order taken, then go to the end of the bar farthest from the door. You get one bowl and pile meat, veggies, and seasonings into it. You get a ramekin of sauce toward the end of the bar to be used for cooking your meat and veggies. After that you place the bowl and ramekin together on the counter closest to the register, tell them if you want udon noodles or rice, and take your number back to your table. The wait wasn't terrible and I was part of a party of seven, one of which was a one year old who didn't eat. The price for six meals with drinks was about $100. I can't remember if gratuity was added. I added a tip, anyway. If you don't like iceberg lettuce, do not get the ginger salad. It is only dressing on iceberg.
Chao's Mongolian Grill offers a diverse and inviting dining experience that appeals to a wide range of tastes. Guests can customize their meals from an impressive selection of fresh meats, vegetables, and sauces. While some encountered minor issues, such as inconsistent food quality and cleanliness, many praised the friendly service and vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant is also noted for its generous portions and vegetarian options, making it a favorite for families and groups. Chao's promises a flavorful journey for food lovers and is a recommended stop for anyone visiting the area.

We chose Chao as a meeting spot and were all impressed by the restaurant. Coming from the city, we rely on reviews to discover new places, and this one did not disappoint. Everyone in our group enjoyed the food and service, which were excellent. The atmosphere was perfect for chatting, and the spacious, clean bathrooms were a bonus. We will definitely be stopping by again next time we're in town.
I have frequently dined at Chao and have always had a consistently good experience. The service is excellent and the staff is friendly. The restaurant is always clean and there is minimal wait time for the meal. Customers can choose their own ingredients for their meal, such as at the Mongolian grill, and the chef ensures that each dish is consistently cooked and delicious. Additionally, the restaurant provides disposable plastic gloves for customers to use when touching the tongs, which is a considerate and hygienic touch. Overall, Chao is a great choice for a tasty and clean dining experience.
Great eating and very friendly staff. they choose the ingredients and they make a bowl with options of rice (white, brown and fried) or noodles. a large selection of sauces for selection and a large selection of vegetables. very vegetarian friendly. would recommend visiting chattanooga.
This restaurant is incredibly awesome. The service is truly the best. I can't say enough about the food, service, and overall value. I would happily dine here three times a week.
Chaos Mongolian Grill has been one of my favorite local restaurants in Chattanooga. My Family has been coming to eat here since this business first opened, and this recent trip did not disappoint. Went here with my grandfather for dinner and we were seated immediately. Our waiter was very nice as he took our drink order. Then we went up to design our bowl. I love that you can design your own bowls here and put whatever you want on your plate. I Recommend that you all get Noodles for your starch, it’s pretty good. Please Visit Mongolian Grill When you visit Chattanooga. You will not be disappointed.

The restaurant offers fantastic service and amazing food, however, the bathrooms could use some improvements. I appreciate being able to choose my own toppings, sauce, and starch for my meal. Just be aware that getting a second bowl will cost an extra $4, so make sure to fill up on your first bowl. Overall, the food was delicious and I will definitely be returning in the future.
This is my favorite restaurant in all of Chattanooga. I visit at least once a month and the staff here are so friendly. The workers are kind and the server always remembers my friend and I. You can taste the love that the cooks put into the food. It always leaves me feeling satisfied and happy. I love building my own bowl with as many veggies and meat as I want, and I always add in the fried rice. The noodles are also fantastic! My average cost is around $15 with a tip. I bring all my friends here when they visit. Support this business!
We chose Chao's as our meeting spot, relying on reviews since we are all from out of town. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the food and service, as well as the atmosphere which was perfect for chatting. The bathrooms were also spacious and clean. We definitely plan on returning next time we are in town.

Food was really good, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere is perfect. Vegetarian options: They have a balanced vegetable to meats selection. Dietary restrictions: They ask about allergies and restrictions. Parking: Plenty of parking. Kid-friendliness: My daughter loved it.
The food at Chao's Mongolian Grill was delicious, and the service was quite good. The process was a bit confusing at first, but everyone was patient and helpful. You wait to be seated, place your drink order, then head to the far end of the bar away from the entrance. You receive one bowl to fill with your choice of meat, vegetables, and seasonings. Near the end of the bar, there’s a ramekin of sauce to use for cooking your ingredients. Once you’ve filled your bowl and sauce, you place them together on the counter closest to the register, let them know if you want udon noodles or rice, then take your number and return to your table. The wait time was reasonable, even with our group of seven — including a one-year-old who didn’t eat. The total cost for six meals and drinks was about $100; I’m not sure if gratuity was included, but I left a tip regardless. A note: if you’re not a fan of iceberg lettuce, avoid the ginger salad, as it consists mainly of dressing over iceberg. Parking is plentiful, with a large lot adjacent if the front lot is full. The restaurant is very kid-friendly — there were many children there, and our four kids had no issues. As for wheelchair accessibility, there are no stairs, and I believe there was an accessible entrance, though I’m not entirely certain.
The food was incredible! I only wish the sauce had been thicker during cooking. The service was outstanding. It was my first time dining there, and the waitress thoroughly explained how everything worked. I couldn't have been more impressed! Even waitstaff from other sections came by to check on us. Kid-friendliness: The server was very accommodating and friendly to kids!
Chao's Mongolian Grill quickly became a family favorite after my parents introduced me to it. I've also recommended it to others, and it’s always a hit. The menu allows everyone to choose their own ingredients, seasonings, and sauces, making it perfect even for picky eaters. I also appreciate that Chao's offers vegetarian-friendly options, including tofu and a wide selection of vegetables. If you’re nearby, I highly recommend giving it a try.
Food is always spot on….
