Breaking crab, sharing food it is not a delicate thing, it is great thing. If you are a clean freak, forget it.Clam chowder is really nice, but the pastry was a bit tough.Very delicious food and good service.Easy to miss off up the stairs off Railway Street Chatswood. The craft beer is not cheap starting at $10 up to $32 a stubbie but they are tasty. View all feedback.
What Madonna Hettinger doesn't like about O Crab Sydney:
We had a party of 10 pre-booked for my little cousin's birthday, which unfortunately ended up ruining our Friday night on December 2nd. We spent around 3 hours at the venue, with the waiter taking an hour after we ordered to inform us that there wasn't enough staff. This happened a second time when they ran out of crab as well. We decided to go here based on recommendations from friends and because it was in our travel book.
The food was delicioso! We were seated immediately even though it was a busy Friday evening- 3 adults and a baby.
In Sydney for a weekAte at MrWong three timesTheir dumplings are outstanding! Go hereYou won't be sorry Fun tip: if you enter Mr.
Came here last night with my partner and another couple. We ordered the buffalo wings and popcorn prawns for entree. Wings were nice but the popcorn prawns were disappointing. Each piece of 'popcorn' was half a prawn and not very tasty. For mains we had to try the bag of prawns, so we ordered the garlic butter and Cajun flavoured. The garlic ones needed more salt and the Cajun were delicious. You definitely have to re-dip the prawns in the bag sauce once you've peeled them. Afterwards we decided we were still hungry so we ordered the tempura calamari and the truffle fries. We waited at least 30 minutes for these to come out and to get the attention of a waiter was nearly impossible. From what we could see there was only 2 waiters and a manager who had to help out as the place was quite full by that stage. When we finally got the waiters attention we told him we still had not received our food, he sounded like he had forgot to tell the kitchen which was very annoying and by that time we weren't even hungry anymore. They need to hire more waiters because it took us multiple attempts to get a waiters attention all night!! All in all, food was good but I probably won't be going back for a while.

There were a lot of excuses given, and the drinks took at least 20 minutes to arrive, despite the restaurant being practically empty. We ended up spending over $900 total and traveled 2.5 hours each way. The food was not enjoyable, and there was no apology given for the poor service. I do not recommend this place, as the lack of crab and slow beverage service were huge disappointments.
