China Chilli - Chatswood

The restaurant offers great value for money and delicious food. I was surprised to see low ratings on this page, as it is one of the best places in Sydney. The service is also fantastic, with the owner/manager personally welcoming and assisting my elderly father to his seat. All the staff provide excellent service. Although I haven't visited recently due to COVID-19, I am a regular customer. As a lover of spicy food, I find that most places in Sydney do not offer food spicy enough for my taste. However, China Chilli serves very flavorful spicy dishes, making it the best place to eat in Sydney in my opinion due to its excellent service, delicious food, and great value.

I had the beef noodle with sour and spicy sauce. It was good, though a bit oily. The menu is a bit tricky to interpret and westerners may be surprised at some of the menu options. It was very busy at lunch time and takes...between minutes.

The spicy vegetarian soup and pork dumplings were delicious and served hot. Wow, what a flavorful dish that will certainly satisfy your cravings.

It appears that I am the first to review since the lockdown ended. I reside in Chatswood and enjoy trying out local restaurants and supporting them. Unfortunately, China Chilli did not show any appreciation for our patronage. The waitress did not acknowledge our booking, simply seated us, provided menus, and had minimal interaction with us (which could be seen as COVID-safe). The food was delicious, but we did not feel welcomed. If they want to attract local customers, they need to show that they value their guests.
