It seems like I am the first one to review since they reopened. I live in Chatswood and enjoy trying out local restaurants and supporting them. I love spicy eating and found eating at most places in sydney to not be spicy enough. china chilli has very tasty spicy food, for me this is the best place to eat in sydney, because of excellent service, eat and value
The spicy vegetarian soup and pork dumplings were delicious and served hot. What a fantastic dish that really hit the spot.

Unfortunately, China Chilli did not show any appreciation for our business. The food was delicious, but we did not feel welcomed. If they want to attract more locals, they should show that they care about their customers.
The restaurant is located in a convenient spot in Sydney CBD. The beef strip and fish dishes were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. We definitely plan to return.
The restaurant is conveniently located next to Chatswood train station. The interior is nicely decorated; without loud music as in some other restaurants, you can have a proper talk with your friends. The dishes here, e.g. deep fried chicken with red chilli, lamb ribs in...spicy sauce, are the usual ones that you would come across in other Sichuan restaurants. The service needs to improve greatly. It took us quite a while to get the attention of a waiter who promised to bring us some water. But the water never came. We had to go through the same hand-waving' exercise to get a waitress to help us. We had the impression that the waitstaff are students who haven't been trained to be in the hospitality industry.
