I love quirky and boy is this place quirky. Upside down tea sets on the ceiling and loads of Alice stuff about. None of this hides the fact that the coffee is good and the cheese scones are wonderful. It is worth a trip to Shepshed just to pay a visit to this café, let is be honest there is very little else in Shepshed worth visiting. View all feedback.
What IvyGar doesn't like about Through The Looking Glass Boutique:
Groupon voucher for scones and tea for two. We had to book as the cafe only has a few tables. Fresh scones and cream and tea and coffee. Very pleasant time there amongst a large selection of Joules merchandise. View all feedback.
Today, my mom and I visited this restaurant using a Groupon voucher for cream tea. We were hungry, so we ordered a sandwich and a panini, both of which were delicious. Then we enjoyed our scones with jam and cream, along with a pot of tea. My mom mentioned that these were the best scones she had ever tasted! They were also quite large, which was a nice surprise. The cream was also wonderful. The ambiance of the tea rooms was unique and very relaxing. Be sure to visit the restroom and see the tree in the shower.
I visited this charming, unique restaurant and purchased a cream tea deal for two on Groupon. In addition, we enjoyed a delicious sandwich and my friend had a panini. Definitely recommend stopping by for a visit.
I recently visited this restaurant and had poached eggs on toast, a flat white, and a slice of coffee and walnut cake - all of which were delicious. They also have a new bar and cocktail menu that I will have to try next time.
We were given a voucher for a cream tea for two at Through the Looking Glass. The Alice in Wonderland theme inside is different and to borrow from someone else 's review 'quirky '. But it works, has a nice atmosphere and there 's lots of nice gift products to browse too. The tea was great with fresh scones, cream jam. I was caught out by the combination tea pot and cup not having seen one before and asked for a cup...it was gently pointed out it was already there. Overall, a pleasant experience with friendly people and good service. When we went into a charity shop in Shepshed afterwards we were pleasantly surprised to see another combination teapot and cup in great condition which we bought for £3. Happy days!
There’s nothing like through the looking glass in Shepshed. It’s quirky. You’ll find cute little gifts for friends in the shop with hot snacks and breakfast dishes when ready to take the weight off
