Papa Joe's - Charlottetown

We had spent the day at the waterfront and I had wanted to eat downtown again, but my husband was anxious to leave, so we decided to find somewhere to eat on our way back to our Airbnb. We happened upon this place … and...I’m so glad we did. We had the seafood chowder (so much deep flavour), fish and chips (light and breaded in cornmeal), pasta bolognese (with creamy dollops of ricotta and two generous pieces of garlic toast), followed by their house-made baklava cheesecake … which was an unexpected and divine way to end our meal. Our server was amazing but one thing to note, the owner (or maybe the manager) walked around and talked to all the locals, but seemed to snub the tourists. It wasn’t very welcoming in that respect, but our server and the other staff were friendly so that made up for the somewhat obvious disregard for visitors. Other than that, we were pleasantly surprised to find this place … it was one of the best meals we had while visiting Charlottetown.

Amazing food. Take out is a nice option as well! Just had the falafel burger and it was fantastic! A must have if you love falafel.

Great family owned business ; serving good quality home style meals . Very friendly staff and you can tell the owners care about this business.

Make reservations! This place is always busy. And there is a great reason all food was excellent! Best Lobster roll in town. In fact, I think it is the best I ever tasted! Chowder had a lot of seafood in it. Sweet potatoes French fries with slightly spicy sauce was out of this world. My husband ordered pasta bolognese and it was outstanding too! Don't miss it!

The go to restaurant anywhere in Charlottetown! Definite recommend!! The best fish in chips ever as well as the delicious Shish Taouk wrap. Must go to!
