Handan's Cafe - Charlottetown

Ordered a sandwich to go on a busy day. The gal behind the counter was lovely to deal with. I placed my order and told her I would be back in 15 minutes as I had an errand to run. When I got back 15 minutes later, the order was ready and waiting for me. It was simply a wrap that I ordered, but the presentation was very nice and I was happy with my lunch.

Extremely reasonably priced Turkish food. Tasty. Quick, efficient service, by a very friendly family. Nice atmosphere, modest scale. Just an all-around likeable place. Only complaint: didn't like the filter coffee (not strong enough).

If you want some very tasty, interesting dishes, this is the place to come for lunch! The owners are from Iran, are friendly and worth an interesting chat. Any dish is a treat and there are many lip-smacking choices. 2 tables outside and 7 tables inside. You'll leave Charlottetown asking yourself how they were lucky to get this couple and their food!

Located in downtown Charlottetown at 88 Kent Street, Handan's Cafe' is owned by Handan and Hurol Karayol and offers unique breakfast and lunch five days weekly(Monday through Friday) from 8am to 5pm. Located on quiet Kent Street, Handan's features outdoor cabaret seating in front, as well as indoor dining. On a relatively chilly day, the Fesenjan Walnut Stew was such a treat-crushed walnuts and lamb. If you want take-out, Handan's menu is one of the most economical and inexpensive in all of Charlottetown. A MUST!

A small cafe specializing in Iranian and Mediterranean food at noontime and take out for supper. The flavours are marvellous and the prices are unbelievable. Great table service by the owner.
