Quidley's Delight - Charlotte

Really wanted to love this place.. food was ok but a high price. Ordered via phone and was told 30 minutes, got there at that time and had to wait another 30 to get my meal. Also I 'm not sure if it was only temporary but there 's no sign except saying restaurant I wouldn 't have known it was the place.. not even a menu on the window separating it from the other strip mall stores.

Beautiful restaurant. I could have done a better job cooking at home. Customer service was very pleasant. Food was not impressive.... the vegetables patty is surprisingly bad.... cheap ingredients... the rice was good but I do not want to pay $10 for a vegetable plate that only consists of onions, peppers and gravy with rice .... I will not be returning. My first experience here before the pandemic was amazing I don't know what happened...

I've got between the rating Quidleys between a 3 and a 4 because we have a love hate relationship. Let me first say that the food is absolutely delicious and they are within my top 3 Caribbean restaurants in the city; HOWEVER the customer service can be met or miss and the waiting times are simply not even fine with a call. I know when I call something and they tell me 20 minutes to come in 40 and be ready to wait up to 10 minutes - I don't know what that is, but the food is good. The waiting times existed before-Covid so idk. My other handle is how you can only get seafood on certain days when the cook in... I suppose there's only one person who cooks seafood, so if that's what you desire and he's not there, then you? I can't get it. Here recently I ordered the butter shrimps and one side of Mac (double order) and the butter shrimp plate was mouth irrigation, but that Mac and cheese were the scavenges from the bottom of the pan, which was not cool- I would not serve, and I wish I saw it before because I had not accepted it, but since I?t I took it as lost. Absolutely visit because they are not disappointed with the silence of food, but are not surprised over long waiting times.

The restaurant itself and the customer service were great! I fought if I should write this review, but the food left much to wish. I ordered a jerk plate and to my surprise I received what looked like smoked chicken without spices. On the side in a small wrapper container was a kind of mild thin sauce. Definitely not an idiot. The part was very small for $16. I usually go to Island Cuisine, but they were ready to close. Pages

Ox tails were phenomenal. Great part, too. Although they had none of the pages, I still wanted to have enjoyed the food.
