Big Al's Pub Grubberia - Charlotte

Hubby and I went there for a lunch date. I got the triple dekker and he got a burger. We had a really good waitress that was both friendly and attentive. Seemed like a cool place for friends to meet up!

We had Jennifer (with a flower in her hair) as our bartender tonight and she was amazing. Very attentive and friendly! Great drinks and drink specials.

First time going there, very nice people make you feel right at home. Building may be old but the service is good. I say check them out. Beer Wings, football and other dishes. Check out their hours before you go..

The food drinks were good. The 1 waitress that was working was doing an amazing job. She really needed help but she didn't let the pressure get to her. The fried green beans were my favorite. The fried pickles were good, but were a little soggy on the bottom. Both come with a spicy ranch sauce that is nothing to play with!! I had the taco salad. It was really good. Some of the toppings were fresh. The salsa was disappointing, especially since their spicy ranch was so tasty. This place has been there for a long time. I remember when it was a seafood restaurant. Not much has changed in the decor. The space is large and the open design it great. There is also a smell that hits you in the face that makes you want to walk out. If that smell is removed (probably in the old carpet) the decorations updated, I could see this place as a go to restaurant.

I 'll start by saying the food was good, served fresh and hot. Our server was friendly and attentive. Not really for kids. It 's more a bar seen then anything. They allow vaping inside, multiple people at the bar and one couple sitting behind us in the dining area were all vaping.
