Recommend coming on a weekday. Weekend and holiday may have a long wait. My personal fav is the salmon lover roll. Most of the rolls under the chef special are pretty good too. Not a fan of their fried goods because of too much breading and too hard to eat. Other than, it's a great experience here.Food: 4/5 View all feedback.
What Robin H doesn't like about Mr. Tokyo:
Very disappointing tonight. I had to slice my own sashimi as it was huge chunks of fish which isnt sashimi! Rice for spicy tuna roll was way overcooked! Tasted like mush! And shrimp tempura was just basic fried shrimp with bland dipping sauce. View all feedback.
The quality and value keeps making us come back. Well managed Mr Tokyo location. The sushi rolls are great quality for buffet style aand definitely better then some sushi places. Great staff.Food: 5/5
I had Yellow Tail rolls and Chicken Teriyaki. The rolls were lovely. While waiting for my food to go I saw the chefs cutting up fresh, whole fish which, for sushi, is ideal. They cut the fish into fine strips to determine its quality. The chicken teriyaki was perfect. It had loads of veggies and whole chunks of savory chicken. The flavor was balanced. In comparison to other restaurants, Mr. Tokyo is a step above. You’ll enjoy it. Don’t listen to the negative reviews!

The amount of food that you can get for about $25 buffet is amazing at Mr. Tokyo you better be a varsity eater than a junior varsity snacker. It is best to come as soon as it opens to have a guarantee table or minimal wait time than later and have anyone from a 30 min 90 min wait for their food. Either choice is well worth it with the delicious appetizers and we'll crafted sushi. I was lucky enough to go for my friend's graduation dinner and try all her favorites with her family. They do charge for the amount of food you do not finish so it's also good to pick a good varsity team to eat when someone else taps out. For appetizers, the Mr. Tokyo bowl is a must for its specialty and only one per person. Other favorites were the shumai was soft and flavorful, tempura shrimp which was not heavy and crispy, the crab rangoon which is always good, and the octopus salad. The sashimi was delicious with well dressed and seasoned rice and fresh fish. The sushi was also fantastic with lots of fish filling and great flavors. The food is handed without order and as come service, so be sure to make room for plates as they come. It's a great sushi buffet that is well worth the price and shared meal with well trained eating friends.
