What Molly Baer doesn't like about Epilogue Books Chocolate Brews:
frequent customer, i've loved coming here with friends and with my partner for well over a year for coffee dates and buying books for myself or gifts. the employees are friendly and helpful, the coffee is great, and the book selection is really phenomenal. this place has projected a very positive and welcoming and safe space for all people.however, they recently made a change that put locks with codes on the bathroom... These folks are the BEST. In a world that is increasingly run by selfish billionaires who only care about profit, margin, and rockets; ... and NOT service, Epilogue sets a far higher standard. There's always someone that picks up the phone, there's always someone that answers the emails. I live in Chicago, but I'll order from Epilogue in Chapel Hill first with all the books on my wishlist. Epilogue is the Chewy of books that's the highest compliment I can pay; and I loooooove Chewy.
I love bookstores and coffee shops, but when they're together in one place, it's magical. I appreciate that almost all of the books had recommendations from the employees. Great place!
Such great place for remote work and a great collection of books. The interior is large and one side of the coffee shop is very bright, bog windows, and the other side is illuminated by lights only which makes is a great spot to work on your laptop and not being disturbed by reflections on your screen. Recommend!
