Long wait so make sure to show up when they open at 6pm to get good spot or just be prepared to wait. Food was amazing. Good selection and flavor was on point. Abraham, our server, was fabulous! Can't wait to come back! View all feedback.
What ken v Z doesn't like about Pureza:
Found the entrainment greatly lacking. If you like to actually want to go be close to pool it will cost Mx 3000. Which I find crazy to get an individual both which take up half the pool patio. View all feedback.
Me and my wife really enjoyed the view from our room it was amazing to wake up with the ocean right there not only that but the hotel has their own private beach which was nice, depending on when you go you may have the whole thing to yourself.
The Ziva in PV met our family's expectations for a relaxing, comfortable vacation. The weather was perfect for us in December with relatively low humidity. We all enjoyed the cuisine options at the different restaurants within the resort. The Italian restaurant was our favorite but the steakhouse Blaze had the best ambience, overlooking the water. The main buffet restaurant had good variety for breakfast and lunch. Made to order food stations produced custom choices...egg station, hot grill, smoothies, ice cream. The resort felt big enough to have a variety of views and activities but not too big where you felt like walking was a slog. This is a nice 4 star resort with a dedicated, well-trained staff that were all professional. We had just one odd exception at the sports bar one evening where the staff simply did not want to serve us. But mostly the service was efficient and hospitable. The property shows some signs of wear but none of it a deal-breaker. Ziva had a number of construction projects happening which shows Hyatt is reinvesting to maintain standards. Base level rooms were not huge but comfortable. It would have been better to have queen sized beds vs doubles. Weddings were big here during our stay and on 3 of 5 nights were thumping quite loudly until 10p. The infinity pools were visually pleasing and meshed nicely with superb ocean views from almost every angle. The private beach was clean and the lounge chairs and towels were plentiful; thatched umbrella huts provided adequate shade. We were surprised how few people actually went into the ocean. There were zero boogie or skim boards, which we find common at most other beaches that we visit. Is this due to unpredictable waves here? It seemed most guests were happy to be hanging in pools and view the ocean from a distance in the infinity pools. We paid for one snorkeling/boat excursion to Los Arcos, which departed conveniently right from Ziva's beach. Beach servers made frequent stops to replenish drinks but there were no food service options on the beach. One big complaint- bartenders did not blend drinks completely, leaving most frozen drinks with big chunks of ice. Friendly local beach vendors made frequent stops selling hats, jewelry, cigars and trinkets but weren't overly pushy. We purchased several items. There are separate pools for adults and families. Entertainment, activities and shows kept the scene lively. You can find different activities (and volume levels) that meet your needs. Another nitpick- Hot tubs weren't exactly hot and we couldn't find any control of jets. The fitness gym had decent equipment but could have used a few real spin bikes; e.g Peloton. If this was a 5 star property it would likely be unaffordable (for us) and expectations would be much higher. But what you get at Ziva strikes a nice balance between price and quality. Overall our family enjoyed Ziva and would consider staying again.

We attended a wedding at Hyatt Ziva in October-November 2021. Multiple restaurants to choose from. We had dinner at PureZa 3 times over the course of 6 days due to quality and service. Oscar, Saul, Monroy, Ximena, Martin and Joel are exceptional! Very attentive and responded before we even asked!! Thank you.
