SoLo on Main - Central Elgin

From the charts wonderful eating. appetizer filled mushrooms and calf cäsar salat simply amazing. black pickerel (a special) and beef tenderloin cooked to perfection. here you have to go. I would say, however, that this definitiw is not a place for...Kids, although I am sure they are welcomed. definitiw a romantic date night spot.

The young ladies were smart, hospitable and very well organized as professional, friendly and obviously hard work. our glasses were always filled in great time and eating was plentiful and very well prepared. it should be noted that we are very picky customers. with regard to the quality of food, as both of us are excellent cooks themselves. we went back and were not disappointed!

What can I say about this place; eating is made to order, fresh, amazing and delicious. we sat outside with a view of the river. they had a guy who plays a quiet gitarre and sings. when they brought our drinks, I saw myself to my husband and got a drink in my eye, because this restaurant is for so many reasons my favourite restaurant and was just there, made me emotional and grateful. the ambiente, the eating, the waiting staff, the landscape, the drinks, the music, the town, simply spectacular. we will be back solo on main, we will definitely be back!

Early dinner last week, service was great, dinner consisting of kokos garnelen and filet of bark was excellent, along with a few glasses wein. woman was not very hungry and had a burger, she didn't care too much for the huge serving...and ate the half of the burger, not much taste, but the cale salat and cappacinno were a great time overall

I hope this review helps the staff in future. I know that criticism is not taken well. My daughter and I visit Solo on Main at least a couple of times a year. Today we had a noon reservation, and ordered a bottle of wine...and the perch which is always a favourite, and it did not disappoint. At 12:45, while I was still eating, the server asked if we wanted dessert and how many bills. I think someone should coach the staff to not rush the patrons. When someone orders a bottle of wine, they intend to relax and enjoy the scenery and company.
