I'm so glad I found ambras tour! We met as arranged for the tour that was 12 to 2:30. The Vegan Food Tour was very disappointing that the first station for a few bread snacks was in a local bakery. They were pale, dry and a little tasteless. We had to eat them on the street without drinking. The next meal break for an Arancini had not happened because when we showed up in Sfrigola they were closed. Our guide forgot they closed on Tuesday. Our last station was in a small café where we shared a small plate of Caponata, even with any beer. We were left there at 1.45 — about 45 minutes shortly before the time and really disappointed at the choices of food we had tried. The road trip was informative and interesting, but this is not what we came for. Because Sfrigola was closed, we received a voucher for a beer in a local pub that was not open until 6:00. We paid a total of 100 euros for the tour.
I'm so glad I found Ambra's tour! I was actually looking for other places near Palermo, but sometimes it's hard to find plant-based options in restaurants. Ambra was very nice from the beginning, answered all my questions and tried to organize the tour according to my schedule. The tour couldn't be better! She is very knowledgeable about her village and will tell you not only through its magnificent streets, but also about its history and some really interesting legends. And of course the food. I could finally try the famous arancina (the vegan version and almond and pistacchio granita (sooo good!). I would recommend to anyone who visits Cefalù to contact Ambra and book a tour with her, she will not disappoint. Updated by previous review on 2022-06-17

We had an excellent time to learn about the unexpected parts of cefalu and the food was delicious! we looked at and eat that we never had found of ourselves. ambra was very friendly and knowledgeable and it was great to talk to her how we learned about the city. my partner was very happy that she had to try arancina for the first time and was very grateful to have an opportunity to eat the vegan version! a great tour when they love good food (vegan and everything else) and mythology!
The tour was absolutely fantastic. ambra was an amazing guide and storyteller, showing us places in cefalu that we would never have discovered and learned so much about the city history. she directed the food for Sicilian food, which was often randomly vegetarian, and explained all his Arab heritage on the way. We were so full at the end! the tour with a beer to finish was the perfect way to finish it. would recommend this tour to everyone. especially good to do it at one of their first days of their trip to cefalu so they can again try to the recommended places and more food!
