China Bowl - Catoosa

Last night (2022), my partner and I decided to give it another shot since it's still open. Knowing how much I dislike celery, I tried to order the hot and sour soup without it this time. However, I was not only told that they couldn't accommodate my request, but I was also informed that there was still a small amount of celery in the soup. Despite this, we chose to order two large hot and sour soups with crispy noodles, which turned out to be a big mistake. The flavor was good, but I ended up with a quarter cup of those same bitter celery pieces in my soup! My partner, who tolerates celery better than I do, seemed to enjoy his soup despite the unpleasant bits. Unfortunately, both of us started to feel pain and cramping within 30 minutes of finishing our soups and crispy noodles. We spent the rest of the night dealing with severe diarrhea, which was clearly linked to the soup. We felt awful all night and were still unwell when we woke up this morning. I usually don't leave reviews, but this experience was so frustrating that I felt compelled to share it.

Delicious as always and a family favorite. We really enjoy the food and appreciate the prompt service.

The food was overcooked, and the protein was nearly inedible. The egg rolls were either over-fried or had a huge piece of wonton wrapper that was three times the size of the filling and undercooked. The rice tasted stale. I flipped over my receipt only to see that an extra order had been charged to my card. The sweet donuts were quite disappointing as well.

They eat too often here. its cheap Chinese food- good quality and large portions

Delicious! I ordered the mushroom chicken, beef and broccoli, and hot and sour soup.Literally the best hot and sour soup I have ever eaten! Chicken and mushrooms was delicious! Beef and broccoli, the broccoli was perfectly tender crisp, just the right amount of sauce. So good! I’m from out of town, the hotel had a menu and I ordered on a whim. I’m glad I didn’t look at the reviews before, I’m shocked by the negative reviews. China bowl is better than any of the Chinese places we have back home! I wish I lived closer, this place is GREAT!
