The Groove Train - CASUARINA

Went to the Groove train for dinner with friends (a catch up before Christmas). Whilst the food was ok, the level of service could be better. A friend order a cider and another a better, we also requested some more water as well. We had...to ask for the beer and water again, as the waitress forgot about them (she did apologise) it wasn’t a particularly busy night (these things happen which was no big deal). The meals were served relatively quickly and arrived together. They kitchen seemed busy with a lot of Uber Eats orders.

I’ve had breakfast here before which was ok. Made the mistake of having dinner before heading to the cinema. Waitperson had terrible body odour which is really unpleasant when serving food. We ordered salmon vegetable in a butter dill sauce which was almost inedible....The salmon has been deep fried (who does that? the vegetables were clearly a packet mix from the supermarket so mainly consisted of cabbage. There was so much oil butter, certainly no dill sauce, really unpleasant. For $29 it was very over priced for what was served. I’d avoid this place for dinner.

The service at this restaurant was terrible. Our order was wrong even after explaining it twice, and our meal was incomplete and cold. We ended up waiting for the bill and it was definitely not worth the price. Overall, a disappointing experience.

I had the seafood calzone and the children's Hawaiian calzone at this restaurant and they were both amazing. The dough was delicious, and the seafood was of good quality and perfectly cooked.

The restaurant was not crowded, but it took us 45 minutes to place our orders and then another hour to receive our food. The dishes were poorly cooked and lacked flavor. I am hesitant to recommend this place and will not be coming back as there are many better options available in the area.
