This small osteria is a little off the beaten track, on the way out of Castelfranco, but it's definitely worth the finding. Still busy at 9.20pm, the owner is a charming and helpful host and the atmosphere very traditional. As is the food. Tortellini in Brodo is a local favorite and we had beautifully cooked beef, washed down with a local Lambrusco. Don't go for the rush and bustle of Bologna, CFE is a quiet interest... This restaurant was recommended to us by our host. It is a family run, traditional Italian Osteria serving good authentic local food. It is frequented by local people and had a friendly atmosphere. Good value food from a wide range of choices on the menu.
We ate alot of different dishes and everything we took was delicious. I loved the food and the local drinks. There were 8 of us and everyone was very pleased by the food.
