San Marcos Grill - Carson City

I wouldn't go here, even if someone invited me and offered me to pay. 07/28/22 came here on holiday with the family. the birria taco was so disgusting once took a bite and it was immediately thrown into my mouth. the maul huh tasted like the morning soap. the salsa was spoiled. the majority of my family ran into the bathroom and everyone was unsatisfied. how do they think this is authentic Mexican food? almost wanted to run from carson city and never come back again

I love this restaurant! Not only do we come for the Amazing food we come for the Cadillac margaritas! Allll the margaritas are excellent but this one is my favorite! Highly suggest this restaurant in you're in Carson! I also suggest making reservations because it gets packed rarely quick!

Excellent tequila selection with reasonable prices. We shared the ceviche which was the highlight of the meal. Catfish lime Jalapeño and avocado with cucumber. Thank you, sir. Tableside guacamole made to your liking? Perfect. I had beef taquitos and they were delicious. The tiny portion of beans made up for its size in flavor. I will insist we eat here every time I visit.

Not a great experience today. I ordered the asada torta and it was fabulous last week but today I got asada meat that tasted like shoe leather. The asada was some kind of a cut covered in membrane or something just gross and I could barely rip the meat apart with my hands. The margaritas are good but much better if you sit at the bar and the older man makes them and he is a much better server than the others ! I asked my waitress for more chips, salsa and beans she forgot and when I got the bus girls attention she was rude about bringing chips, salsa and beans. Anyways not even close to my past experiences there. My advice is sit at the bar for better tasting margaritas and much better service from the owner. Very disappointing for a nearly 100 dollar lunch and margaritas.

Definitely a Yes.... Huge Tequila selection, very Southern Mexican leaning, service is over the top, food quality a real pleasure to enjoy. Small strip mall looking on the outside but opens up big on the inside. Decorations indicate a real Mexican establishment that has been around a long time. Probably a 5 star but I only ate there once though recommended by many locals who take business clients there.
