Authentic Szechuan Chinese of a quality that rivals any in North America's best Chinatowns. All dishes are excellent. Some I would even describe as being brilliant (e.g., Tofu stuffed with seafood). Lunches don't tend to be as bang on as dinners. The restaurant itself is a bit dark and unspectacular but expect to be very pleased with your dinner and experience overall. View all feedback.
What Cynthia Williams doesn't like about Gourmet Kingdom:
I've visited this restaurant twice. The first time the service and food was good. The second time the hot and sour soup wasn't good. The sweet and sour chicken tasted like leftovers. The rice was good View all feedback.
Great authentic Chinese food. Amazing choice of dishes that are very tasty.
Got takeout on a friend's recommendation for their Ba Shu dishes. It was excellent. Complex flavor with a great level of spiciness that didn't overwhelm the other tastes. I'm going back.

I ordered the pork and vegetable wontons with chili oil and the twice-cooked pork (belly) with rice as takeout. The pork was okay, but the wontons weren 't so great. They had a strong, offensive chemical taste that left a tingling sensation in my mouth with each bite. I suspect it 's the cilantro they were garnished with, but I hope I 'm wrong. I eat cilantro all the time and have never experienced anything like this. I think I 'll be back, though. I just may not order the wontons again.
