The menu is described as comforting and elevated, with standout items like the fried fish and pork chop. The outdoor patio is highlighted as a lovely setting for a meal. Overall, prices are considered reasonable and wine selection is good. While there are some inconsistencies and occasional missteps, Acme is a place that loyal customers keep returning to. Despite some shortcomings, the restaurant continues to draw in diners with its creative and flavorful dishes.
Great “comfort food” but elevated about notches!! Everything seasoned perfectly. Occasionally we find a place, when visiting from out of town, that we wish we could go back to the next night...and this is one of them. So many great options on the menu.... would have loved a “sampling” of all the dishes....didn’t realize it was so highly rated when we went. I had the pork chop special with squash casserole and radish TOPS.... pork was tender and juicy.. cooked to perfect temperature. My husband had the fried chicken. OMGOsh. Crispy and juicy. Mashed potatoes with the chunks of potatoes were heaven. Great wine list. Pecan pie dessert.. didn’t need but had to try... so glad we did. Delicious! Thank you guys for a great evening. Ryan took great care of us at the bar!!!
Service was excellent, we enjoy dining on the patio. Food was okay
I love this place, and eat here every time I'm town not often enough. That said, I had a couple of issues with the food. First previously when you ordered their fabulous corn bread had the butter and cane syrup on the side. This time the butter was blobbed on top of the corn bread, resulting in a buttery cornbread mush in the middle, and the cane syrup was just poured on. I realize this may save some dish washing but the butter in particular made a significant part of the cornbread inedible. Please go back to the old way of serving it.Second issue the Peach Cobbler dessert. What arrived was a scoop of excellent ice cream with the cobbler underneath it. The cobbler has a thick dough layer with a few small peach chunks on it. This isn't something I would expect from a restaurant that is otherwise outstanding. The rest of the meal was great, as was the service. I'll be back next time I'm in town
Always a great place to go. Food is exceptional and the atmosphere is not to loud not too quiet
I got the fried fish and it was WONDERFUL, the boiled peanut topping was not warm and really not very good. I moved it to the side of the plate and very much savored my fish. Service was very good
