What a pub should be. Don't be in a hurry this is not fast food. Wife loves all the gluten free options. Super busy at times because of the food, local beers and attentive staff. For those reasons, plan accordingly. Curry, burgers, pizza, huge F&C...More View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Cheshire Cat Pub:
Just had a meal at the CC Pub. Food was just so so. My husbands burger was overcooked, and the bacon was hard. My Reuben sandwich was good, but very greasy. What really turned us off, was the TERRIBLE SERVICE. We were sitting for a...long time before my husband finally asked if we could order drinks, then the food was very slow to come, after they finally took our order and we ended up cancelling dessert, as that too... What to do on a long weekend go to Cheshire cat pub my daughter says. Everywhere else is closed. Call in advance make sure they're open yes they are No reservations booked with only a few walk-ins. Get down there wait about an hour get in and enjoy one of the most best experience I've had at a restaurant. The food was great the staff was greater I would recommend this place to anybody that loves pub food. But if I did that they all would come here and I would never get a chance to sit at the table again.
Nestled between a busy street and a waste disposal centre, this pub should be busy years ago. That it is not a witness to its excellent food, charm (in a 1800s era school house), friendly service and loyal local fan base of people young and old, Brits departed (many of them) and from everywhere else. The visit here is like a short trip to a pub in rural England.
My favorite restaurant in Ottawa and Canada! I first heard about the cat when I moved to Ottawa and researched restaurants by watching episodes of You Gotta Eat here. Luckily I worked in Kanata so that the cat was a great lunch option! Yorkshire Pudding is my favorite meal and would be my last meal request. Everything on the menu looks amazing, but all I've tried is really amazing, so I always reorder and not always try new things. Their fish and chips are really the best ever (and massive fish) and other favorites are the Fat Cat Club, Curry and Lamb Blue Cheese cake. I always tell people to visit West Ottawa to try the cat! With the pandemic we are able to order so much take-out and love to grab a pint of Carp Creamery ice cream or craft beer from their shop.
One of my favorite restaurants in Ottawa. The food is always excellent!!! Even during the pandemic they have not let their standards down.
Excellent food and excellent service! COVID precautions well instituted. Highly recommend!
