Retro's Drive Inn - Carman

The mushroom burgers are excellent. The Big Rider is a generous size and really tasty. A great place to stop!

We drove by this place and did a U-turn! A real diner with great shakes, fantastic burgers (home-made buns), crisp onion rings and very generous portions. Friendly, helpful staff! Looks like just a take-out place, but also has seating inside, with 50s nostalgia. Even Elvis!...Also nice colourful picnic tables.

I visited this restaurant with friends this month and unfortunately, I will not be returning for several reasons. The menu was inaccurate, with flavors from the previous year still listed, and there were no dairy-free options available for those in our party with allergies. The staff also seemed untrained, as one of my friends ordered a sundae and the server admitted they had never made one before, causing a long wait for our order. It was sad to see the teenagers working there doing their best without proper training. With other ice cream options available in the city, I would suggest choosing a different spot.

The hot dogs and burgers were tasty, but slightly pricey. The poutine is a great value and just as filling as Smoke's Poutinerie in Winnipeg. Overall, it was a stellar experience.

Eating is always great. less known precious stones than syls. but it is worth it. it is up the main train of carman so it does not get the traffic syls. but it is directly on the place for ice cream and more.
