Yum! I've really missed delicious vegan gelato since moving from Sydney. The waffle cones are vegan, and I enjoyed one filled with coffee, biscuits, and Kisses (chocolate hazelnut). Everything was delightful! The staff was friendly and helpful, and it's lovely to sit outside on Lygon Street. I'm glad I don't live any closer, or I don't think I could resist indulging in gelato all the time! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Casa Del Gelato:
The soy-based flavors aren't prominently displayed on the menu and are somewhat tucked away. I tried the cookies, which were good but not outstanding. The mango sorbet was incredibly creamy and delicious, while the chocolate sorbet was truly exceptional. View all feedback.
The fertilization I cost was quite amazing. Unfortunately, the soy-based aromes are not so good. it is great to have creamy aromas, and they beat any other soy ice that I have tried; but they seem a little taste or a rim to them. on the website, their soy aromen are also saccharose free, so I guess it could be the artificial (or natural but not sugar) sweetener. here is an evaluation of the arome, which I have tried so far (they can say I am a fan:) dairy free fruit mango: incredible watermelon: big boysberry: taste is delicious, but I am not a fan of the texture that the same does not sift delicious jasmine: interesting, though personally, only a taste was enough passion for me, it is super strong amarena (sour cherry Overall, I highly recommend whether only for ice or if they want to dessert after dinner with omnis on lygon st somewhere that does not do vegan sweets. updated by previous review on Saturday 23 May 2015
These legends have been offering dairy free gelato on Lygon St for at least a decade, I 'm sure. Proximity to Melbourne Uni is dangerous during breaks between lectures. Also perfect nightcap after a cheap movie at the Nova on a hot Monday night, sitting in the small park opposite. I usually can 't go passed the rich soy chocolate, or creamy pistachio, but like to mix it up with a bit of fruit. I 've never been disappointed with any of their flavours. Soy bacio (hazelnut and chocolate) is a perennial fave. Like smooth, cool, vegan Nutella!
Really yummie vegan icecream. Be careful though, not open all year round!!
One of the few traditional gelato places around with so many vegan flavours. But that 's not the only perk all the vegan options are refined sugar free (sweetened with fructose) AND the serves are massive. For just $7, you can get a large 'single scoop ' which includes up to three flavours. Pistachio, bacio and cookie is a great combo.
I swear this place has been open since the dawn of time. <br/ <br/ There are a lot of flavours. I got a small which is 3 flavours for $6. Great dairy free options and honestly I couldn 't really tell the difference. Sure it 's not 'hip or trendy ' but it sure will satisfy. If you can 't find a flavour that you 'll enjoy then stay home. An institution that must be protected at all costs. I hope this place stays open forever.
