This has been my regular takeaway Chinese meal providers for over 20 years. Can eat in but the spaciousness has little atmosphere. Best when the place has a few diners or in a group. Does have regular Friday night dance and food nights. However food is exceptional and well priced. A testament to their food quality is that they have around for many years. Unbelievable number of takeaways. If you are new to the Shire c... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Caringbah Chinese Restaurant:
The food is fatty, greasy and sub par. The atmosphere is depressing and very 1980's. I do not recommend that restaurant at all. We went there for a family dinner and even the fried rice was poor. View all feedback.
My partner and I went to this restaurant for dinner recently, and it was decent. The menu mainly consisted of Westernized Chinese dishes such as sweet and sour pork, Mongolian lamb, and beef with black bean sauce. We ordered a dish called "rusty nails," also known as rainbow beef or crispy Peking beef strips. The flavors were tasty, but the beef was not as crispy as we had hoped. The combination chow mein was alright. The portion sizes were generous and the service was satisfactory.
I brought my parents to this restaurant and they enjoyed the food. The salt and pepper prawns were exceptionally juicy, and the freshness of the oil was evident from their vibrant color. Other dishes were equally impressive, as shown in the picture below. The service was outstanding! Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating, offering recommendations tailored to our tastes. We will certainly be returning to this restaurant more frequently.
I cannot praise this local Miranda restaurant enough for its retro Chinese charm. Waiters dressed in stylish uniforms with a playful sense of humor, a cozy vintage atmosphere, and delicious house wine served in carafes - not to mention the amazing prawn cutlets, duck pancakes, and irresistible Rusty Nails cocktail. Just go there!
Fabulous Chinese food with great service and easy dining ambience. Food is fresh, comes hot to the table and at a nice speed. Waiters will ask how you would Iike the dishes brought to you and in what selection which shows their enthusiasm to please. A variety of drinks are available including beer and spirits although the wine list is not extensive but BYO is an option anyway. All in all, a very pleasant restaurant which I highly recommend Colino1861
Not many vegan options but thanks to another vegan comment for a reference, so tried the same fried veg rice, veg Singapore noodles, bean veg salad, and something else forgot the name. Pretty good for $50 but not much variety of taste. Was waiting about 40mins for pick up order, quite busy place.
