This place is an institution that has changed hands several times over the last few years. We usually get flake, as well as chips and potato scallops/cakes. The chips and scallops are always good, but the fish tends to very in quality from week to week. The place also varies from empty to full from day to day. Unfortunately did not get an opportunity to try as we were put off by the service asking whether we could change the fish in one of their packs and pay the difference, we were just shut down immediately and said NO. We went up to Stanley Rd fish and chips in Camp Hill and the service was warm and they had no issues with changing the fish in their pack! How hard was that? View all feedback.
That's fast. very clean. very friendly Friday night fish n chip shop. man and woman team work hard behind the grills, not to mention the new.
I couldn't understand a word that was discarded with me when I asked a simple question about a possible menu substitution to absorb an allergy that was somehow rejected. two tragedies that came into the load after I had already ordered, had cooked their food and given them before my food even began. the chicken and engraving roller was tiny and looked like it was. tldr: terrible service, terrible eating, don't waste your time, go elsewhere.
Whatever I was served was definitely not snapper the rest of the meal was decent enough at least.
The load is as neat as a pen, very clean and neat. the service was fast and friendly. the fish and chips were really nice cooked and very tasty and their potato scallops were the best I had in years! so good! highly recommended for all!
The guy who owns the place made me a fantastic toasted sandwich today
