This restaurant offers authentic and excellent South Indian cuisine that is a departure from the typical British restaurants. The dishes are cooked to order and are sometimes brought directly from the chef to the table, giving diners an almost indoor street food experience. The atmosphere is informal, but the food is truly top-notch. While they do not serve alcoholic beverages, they are accommodating and allow customers to bring their own for a small corkage fee of £1. Highly recommended for a unique dining experience.

This restaurant is amazing! I haven't had Tamil food this good since I lived in Chennai. Everything is fresh, delicious, and perfectly authentic.

The South Indian cuisine at this restaurant is excellent and truly authentic. The prices are very reasonable and the service is good. The idlis are the best I've ever tasted.

I am from Malaysia and we have some of the most authentic and tasty curries. We were blown away by the curry here at Ponnuswamy. I am extremely particular about my curries and by far one of the best chicken curry I have had even comparing India and Malaysia. The owner is extremely nice and friendly man and made me a special dish without nuts due to my allergies.

This place provides absolutely tasty and good food, especially for the people who love having Indian food. The person who serves there is very friendly and understanding, and the prices are understandable when compared to the service they give. The food is freshly made, and the restaurant follows all good mannerisms as well. This is my personal favourite restaurant in Cardiff. Love it!
